The ninth-ranked Bruins dropped a 2-1 decision to #23 Virginia Tech in Friday's first game, but rebounded with a 6-3 victory in the nightcap against Long Beach State at the LBSU Invitational at Mayfair Park. Sophomore Ally Carda homered twice and drove in five at the plate, also earning a win and fanning nine in 6 2/3 innings of work.
