The UCLA pitching trio of junior Jessica Hall, sophomore Ally Carda and freshman Paige McDuffee struck out 17 batters over 16 innings of softball on Tuesday at Easton Stadium, but the 15th-ranked Bruins dropped a 1-0 decision in game one to #17 Washington and a 5-4 contest in a nine-inning nightcap.
